Food Service Brand
Have them watch for the food, but leave understanding the company.

Client: Food & Thought
Type: Chain. Organic prepared foods, grocery, produce & catering.
The Opportunity: A special client with a special message: healthy food is delicious. Their philosophy is “militantly organic so you don’t have to be”. How do we keep that philosophy on the forefront of peoples minds and at the same time have them looking forward to our marketing?
Industry.
Most food service businesses don't know how many stories they’re sitting on. A dish is a story. Inside that dish are ingredients. Why those ingredients were chosen is a story. Where they came from is a story. Whether they’re local, seasonal, rare, sustainable, or extraordinarily difficult to secure… those are stories too.
Exceptional chefs, restaurateurs, and food service operators obsess over ingredients because they believe those ingredients are as vital as any skill a chef may have. And yet most food service businesses have not experienced the power of those stories being communicated properly.
Today’s food service marketing playbook is often to hand this responsibility to a youngster with a phone and hope a few social media posts somehow create momentum. But taking this powder keg of possibility lightly squanders an extraordinary amount of energy already sitting inside the stories the business naturally has.
Imagine two food service businesses that are exactly identical. The same beautiful building. The same incredible chefs. The same extraordinary ingredients. And yet one thrives disproportionately compared to the other. Why? Because one business understands how to release the magic happening inside its four walls into the surrounding region through storytelling.
The stories that truly work are never the stories being told for the company. They’re the stories being told for the audience.
Story.
Our client’s philosophy is: “Militantly Organic so you don’t have to be.” They want customers to move freely throughout their menus and stores with complete confidence, knowing every ingredient meets their standards.
Long before the word “organic” became mainstream, the owner believed the following: you can either spend your money on great food, or spend it later dealing with the consequences of eating poison your entire life.
Today, if the company doesn't grow something organically themselves, they go find the best organic version available anywhere they can. Sometimes that means sending vans from Florida all the way to Dutch Country, Pennsylvania, just to get apples. That’s not normal sourcing. That’s obsession.
Once customers trust the standards of the business itself, the entire experience becomes relaxing. They stop questioning ingredients. Stop worrying about sourcing. They trust the company to carry that burden for them.
The owner could not care less about being average, safe, or convenient. He cares about being the best no matter what the cost.
These stories are powerful because they aren’t manufactured marketing stories. They are real reflections of a company obsessed with excellence.
Delivery & Result.
For this client, our strategy is to create a food series people genuinely want to watch, specifically foodies and health-conscious audiences. The goal is to create ongoing anticipation strong enough to bring people in more often than they originally intended.
To accomplish this, we create one flagship 4-minute episode each month featuring four different dishes. Then throughout the month, we release individual 1-minute episodes focused on each dish separately. The timing of every episode runs concurrent with the natural lifecycle of the item itself: seasonal ingredients, holiday dishes, limited-time availability, and peak freshness. The audience should never feel manipulated by artificial marketing pressure. The feeling we want is: “I better get there while this is at available.”
Knowing how to properly shoot food is an art form. The audience should feel: “Wait… healthy food can look THIS good?” And authenticity remains equally important. The people appearing in these spots genuinely care about wholesome eating and healthier living. That’s why the storytelling feels passionate, authentic, and convincing instead of corporate or scripted.
The intention of the series is that the audience stops viewing the content as advertising and starts looking forward to the next episode.
